Women Coordinator (Part-Time)

Hours: 15 hours per week

Salary: £12.50 per hour (£9,000 per year for this part-time role)

FTE Equivalent: £22,500 per year for 37.5 hours/week

Contract: 12 months, fixed-term

Location: [Gateshead / Hybrid]

Role Summary: Supporting the planning and delivery of community activities, liaising with local partners and volunteers.


Role Purpose:

The Women Coordinator will lead initiatives that empower women within our community, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met through inclusive programming and support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver women-focused community engagement sessions.
  • Build partnerships with local women’s groups and services.
  • Support women’s participation in educational and social programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of women’s initiatives.
  • Ensure safeguarding and equality principles are upheld.

 
 

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Experience working with women from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Understanding of safeguarding practices.

Desirable:

  • Lived experience or community leadership.
  • Knowledge of local support services for women.
