At NEDES Saturday School, we create a welcoming place where children can learn with confidence, discover new interests and build lasting friendships. Our programme supports children from refugee, migrant and local communities by providing high-quality educational activities, mentoring and enrichment opportunities in a safe and inclusive environment.
Our Saturday School has become a trusted place where children feel valued, parents feel supported and families become part of a caring community.
Why This Project Matters
Many children face challenges that make learning more difficult outside school.
Some families are adjusting to life in a new country. Others may experience language barriers, financial pressures or limited access to additional educational support.
Parents often want to help with homework but may not be familiar with the UK education system or feel confident supporting certain subjects.
Our Saturday School helps remove barriers by providing free educational support in a friendly and encouraging environment where children feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes and continue learning.
Who Can Join?
Our Saturday School welcomes children from:
Refugee families
Asylum-seeking families
Migrant communities
Local families
Children who would benefit from additional educational support
Everyone is welcome.
