On Saturday, January 17th, we had the pleasure of gathering at the Bensham Grove Community Centre for Gateshead Community Corner 11. It was a morning filled with meaningful connection, vital conversations, and a shared commitment to strengthening our local community.

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who braved the winter weather to join us for breakfast and dialogue. Seeing residents, leaders, and organizations come together is what makes these events so special.

This event would not have been possible without the insights and time dedicated by our guest speakers. We are incredibly grateful for their contributions to the theme of "Building Community Trust & Hate Crime Awareness."

• Councillor Martin Gannon: Thank you to the Leader of Gateshead Borough Council for leading the conversation on community trust and safety. Your leadership and willingness to engage with residents directly are greatly appreciated.

• Cheryl Wright: We also want to thank Cheryl from Healthwatch for her informative presentation. Sharing crucial updates on local health services and community support is vital for the well-being of our residents.

Beyond the formal presentations, it was wonderful to see so many of you connecting over the community breakfast. The conversations shared between neighbors and local organizations are the foundation of a strong community. We hope you left with full stomachs, new connections, and fresh ideas.
